“Brains could be separated from the body”
Professor Stephen Hawking was speaking
after the premiere of a new film about his life, said
the brain operates in a similar way to a computer
program, meaning it’s theoretically possible to copy
brain on to computer to provide life after death
without a body to power it.

Nasa joins Instagram
NASA has opened its instragram account and kicked
off the new account with pictures of its latest probe, full-color
image from 1969 of the Earth as seen from the Moon. NASA
Press Secretary Lauren Worley said in a statement.‘Instagram
has a passionate following of users who are hungry for new and
exciting photos. We believe we have some of the most engaging
images on and off the planet - and we can’t wait to engage with
Instagrammers.’

World’s ugliest animal?
Deep-sea creature, the blobfish
(Psychrolutesmarcidus) has been officially voted the
ugliest animal on the planet. Thousands of people
from around the world cast their votes online, said the
Ugly Animal Preservation Society. The blobfish spends
its life around the ocean at depths of 600 to 1200
metres lives off the coast of south-eastern Australia
and Tasmania.

World’s highest civilian airport opens in China
China has begun flight operations at the world’s highest
civilian airport in a bid to boost tourism and tighten political control
over the country’s restive west. At an elevation of 4,411 meters
(14,472 feet) above sea level, DaochengYading Airport replaces
the previous champion, Bangda Airport in the Tibet Autonomous
Region, which sits at 4,334 meters (14,219 feet).
