It’s
no secret that
the Muay Thai
phenomenon has
swept the world
by a storm enticing millions of fans to watch,
learn, and practice this exotic martial art form.
Perhaps some of this widespread interest can
be attributed to Tony Jaa and his action-packed
movies which utilize Muay Thai and its bone
cracking moves. He has sensationalized Muay
Thai and garnered a lot of interest in this sport.
Another famous Muay Thai
practitioner, Buakaw Banchamek, is
Thailand’s leading champion and extremely
deadly in the ring. He has won two K-1 World
Max championships.
Muay Thai is one of the
requisite forms of martial arts
needed in the hardcore mixed
martial arts sport (MMA) as it
incorporates the whole body as
a fighting weapon.
