Ocean

vs.

Sea

Oceans are vast bodies of water that cover roughly 70% of the earth.

Seas are smaller bodies of salt water usually connected to an ocean and partially enclosed by land.

There are 113 seas but only 5 oceans on our planet.

1. Pacific Ocean

2. Atlantic Ocean

3. Indian Ocean

4. Southern Ocean

5. Artic Ocean

"Sea" is commonly used as a synonym to "ocean". In conversation an ocean may be referred to as "the sea."

Practice words for unvoiced "TH":

math thank you tooth mouth

bath through healthy

nothing something

I will eat anything healthy with my teeth.

Thank you for driving back and forth this month.

I think Beth is traveling north on the path.

Voiced "TH" has a slight buzz sound. Place your finger on your throat to feel vibration. Practice these words:

this that then there

breathe brother either other

smooth the

That mother can't breathe.

I rather like this weather.

"TH" is a difficult sound and often a "F","S", or "D" sound may be be used by mistake. Instead of saying MOUTH someone may say MOUF or MOUSE.

The important thing is to practice, practice, practice and don't be shy about sticking your tongue way out while you practice.
