EASTPOINTE COUNTRY CLUB MONTHLY NEWSLETTER
President ’ s Letter March , 2017
Dear Fellow Members ,
Now into my second full month as your newly elected Board President I am excited to announce that our committees are fully formed . Please visit the member website for a complete list of committee chairs and associated board members . But we are not done yet . There is more work to do ! We are forming a new Marketing committee that will be chaired by Paul Rogers along with Irene Ross . We can ’ t wait to make the best use of Paul ’ s many years of marketing expertise and we know he and Irene will provide strategic insight and focus on contributing to our marketing programs to help strengthen efforts towards securing future memberships and outside private event sales . Paul and Irene have been looking for a few interested members to serve on this new committee .
The Board of Governors meets every first Thursday of the month . This is a full committee meeting where we discuss a variety of issues including the fiscal state of the club ; new rules and regulations ; new proposals ; the state of scheduled capital enhancements and most unfortunately medical hardship cases . Please know that the board reviews each of these cases individually and with great sensitivity . We are empathetic to those individual members who through no fault of their own find themselves in the unenviable position of no longer being able to enjoy all the club ’ s amenities as they once did .
And finally , as we progress through our “ busy ” season ” it is important to remember that we are indeed a united club . Perhaps a byproduct of the successful merger is that our facilities at times will strain with new additional demand for goods and services ; most notably in our Fitness Center ; our Main Dining Room and the Valet . Please know that our service associates remain committed to working hard to provide the service they know you have come expect and deserve .
Respectfully ,
Kevin Gai Eastpointe Country Club President
