Dear Members,
This month on March 8 th we will be hosting our Farm to Table Wine Dinner, featuring some of the locally sourced products we use in Eastpointe’ s kitchens that come directly from companies in our own backyard.
By using local vendors, we are assured of receiving the freshest ingredients. One of the participating companies is Alice Farms Fresh Food, located right around the corner in Jupiter Farms. Alice provides local and organic foods that you may purchase at her store or online. One of the ingredients used for this dinner event is her Orange Blossom Honey, harvested from Heal Me Honey in Jupiter. Honey flavors are based on the types of flower from which the nectar was harvested. The raw honey is removed from the hive and then bottled and labeled. Local raw honey has many health benefits, including high antioxidants; possible prevention of cancer and heart disease, and it can reduce cough and throat irritation. It also is a natural anti-bacterial and anti-fungal agent.
March is all about what’ s“ local.” This month we will also“ BEE” featuring Watson’ s Bees as our guest speaker on March 27th. Watson’ s Bees is a local beekeeper serving the Palm Beach area. Some of you may recognize the name from when we previously had large bee hives removed from the Club.
Learn more about ingredients from local companies used in our kitchen under“ Culinary Corner” in the Dining & Social tab on the ECC Website!
