Let’s take the blogger Zoella
as an example. Zoella’s
target audience is teenage
girls who love her beauty,
lifestyle and relationship
advice. She develops her
content based on what they
respond well to. She has
managed to connect with
this particular audience so
well that she has now been
offered a book deal.
Think positive
Readers love a happy
ending! Of course you don’t
absolutely have to end on a
good note, but audiences
seem to respond really well
to this.
Platforms
Once you are ready for your
writing to be released into
the world think about how
and where people will read
it. This might be in school,
on a blog or in magazines
and newspapers. The more
people you can reach the
better. Always remember to
ask for constructive criticism
so you build a picture of
what you audience do and
don’t like.
