We had a half term trip to investigate Cardiff and Vale College, check out some of the courses that they have there, and have an afternoon tea made by some of the students.

When we arrived we were met in reception (which has it's own supermarket and SubWay!) for our guided tour of the modern building.

We started in the beauty department, where there was a real life working hair salon, beauty treatment room and spa!

We moved onto the dance and drama studios next, the dance hall had a special floor so that all kinds of dance can be taught, and there was a room like a TV studio with lighting, cameras and stage, so that all the skills for working in TV could be be learned.

Upstairs we went to see the music and recording studios, there were all kinds of instruments and a huge mixing desk so that music can be professionally produced.

Finally we made our way up to the top floor to look at the working kitchen (which supplies fresh bread daily to the supermarket), it's run as a professional catering kitchen.

We were met at 'The Classroom' which is the college restaurant where we were shown to our table and brought lots of lovely tea and cake!
