East Texas Quarterly Magazine Summer 2013 | Page 3
OOPS.....
Despite several trips to the hospital with pneumonia,
the premier issue of East Texas Quarterly made it
off the press. The magazine has been well received
by the communities where it has been circulated.
Thanks to all our advertisers and supporters.
Of course, like any publication appearing on the
stands for the first time there were a few glitches,
namely “a typo” or two. For those not in the print
industry a “typo” is the technical term for a “typographical error.” Having spent more than 30 years
in the newspaper industry, I have seen my share of
typographical errors and some were real whoppers!
Another thing I learned writing thousands of stories
a columns over the years is that I cannot proof read
my own copy. I need somebody else to point out
those errors.
As we move forward with the publication of the
magazine, we will make every effort to improve the
quality of our publication.
