SCHOOL NEWSLETTER 13/28 11th September 2013
Kia ora What a busy week at Waihi East School. Students participated in the Seven’s tournament in Ngatea, choir and Room 4 presented at the Baptist Church. It is lovely to have so many students out there and involved in the wider community. Next Friday we are having a Big Breakfast. Come along on Friday the 20th from 8.20am to share baked beans, hash browns, eggs and toast. What a great way to start the day. There is no charge for this kai. ENTERPRIZE is holding its market day next Thursday. Watch out for their flyers. Sales will be through the office. Come and support our leaders make money! At Waihi East School we have four Golden Rules. We celebrate those tamariki who follow these, however we have needed to put a consequence in place for those who are pushing boundaries. We have started a Lunch Club at school, or as this old girl would say, good old fashioned detention. If students need a reflection time, they attend this club with Mr. M in Room 3. Our Golden Rules are ? Be careful with your words. ? Use our sports equipment properly to have fun. ? Be careful of others and play safely. ? Be respectful of our property.
