What is a Pilgrimage? Why go on one?
Sometimes in life we take a few
steps to the left, sometimes a few
steps to the right, other times we
take a few steps back, but when we
go on a pilgrimage we are walking
towards God. We go to God, not
perfect, but as we are. With all of
our doubt, crisis, sickness, curiosity,
adventure, faith, and thanksgiving to
ask
for
favours
and
to
offer
ourselves completely.
Our pilgrimages are escorted by our Parish Priests, and are open to anyone
interested irrespective of their Parish or churchmanship. If you want perfection,
then our pilgrimages are probably not for you. Misconnections, delays, wrong turns,
ash clouds and bad weather can happen and can sometimes lead to unexpected
views. All will be well if we remember where the route will eventually lead us towards God.
As Christians, we are all on the pilgrimage, we have been since the day we were
born and will be until we die. Our future pilgrimages will be a compound of the
