Pantomania Day
Dick Whittington
SAT 25 NOV – SAT 30 DEC
The Palace Theatre’s ‘Purrfect’ Family Panto
With last year’s production of Beauty and
the Beast being described as having “ticked
so many boxes that there is no room for
them all” (Cumnock Chronicle) the Palace
Theatre and Imagine Theatre are planning
another spectacular show this festive
season with the exciting rags to riches tale
of Dick Whittington.
Meet our hero Dick Whittington and his
feline friend, who set off from Kilmarnock
to seek their fortune in London. Featuring all
the classic elements you’d expect from the
Palace panto, including spectacular sets and
costumes, amazing special effects, fabulous
songs and dances and bags of slapstick fun.
“No self-respecting Christmas would be
complete without an excellent pantomime,
and this year the Palace Theatre, Kilmarnock
was the venue for just that…I loved this
production.” Ayrshire Magazine on our 2016
production of Beauty and the Beast

Is Now Recruiting!

The brainchild of Martyn Ware, born from
the collapse of the original Human League,
80’s synth pioneers Heaven 17 have stood
the test of time and been an influence on
the future of modern music for over thirty
years. Their debut 1981 album, Penthouse
and Pavement, was, and remains, a modern
classic. Glenn Gregory and Martyn
continue to perform the hits from their
overwhelming back catalogue, including
Temptation and (We Don’t Need This)
Fascist Groove Thang, as well as unveiling
their first new material in 12 years.
EAYT is now recruiting new members
for their well-established young people's
theatre company. If you are aged between
5-18 years and with a keen interest in musical
theatre and production, then this group is
for you!
Three terms of ten weeks (which follow
school term times) take place annually.
Students are also required to be part of two
productions taking place each year at the
Palace Theatre. Each term will cost £35 for
Mini EAYT and £90 for the Junior and Senior
EAYT.
