You can establish the throughput you require of your conveyor using the simple
formula below. To calculate this step you will need to know the mass of material
you want to move per hour and the material’s density.

Now that you have established the throughput and desired angle of your
conveyor, use the chart opposite to work out the conveyor size and belt speed
you require. With our worked example we have a throughput of 58m 3 /hr and a
conveyor angle of 20°.
This means that the conveyor size we need is an EASIKIT 600 with a belt speed of
0.7m/s. (Indicated by dotted line on chart)
Please note that these calculations do not include EASIKIT300.
