Dear Parents and Teachers,
In this series of Let’ s Read! Early Reader books, adapted from the popular Animal Adventures at Tipee Hipee Safari Park, we have combined simple stories with pictures painted with children in mind. The combination of animal adventures, animal pictures, bright colours and humour are designed to promote children’ s interest in reading. However, children will not get the maximum benefit out of the books on their own. They will need you to read with them.
Stimulate Interest!
Use the books as a vehicle to stimulate interest. Read a page and discuss what your child sees in the picture. Match words with pictures, talk about the animals and people; encourage interaction. Try to make reading and looking at the pictures an enjoyable and memorable experience for your little ones.
Build Confidence and Have fun!
The books are at three levels and colour coded to enable children to progress from one level to another as they gain confidence in their reading skills. There is a little quiz at the back of each book and a picture to draw. The drawing is provided as a guide but children are encouraged to draw in their own way and to add details.
