English, Maths and ESOL
It is important to have strong skills in English and maths in order to progress
in education, improve your prospects at work and get by in daily life. If you
want to get more out of life but are worried that your English and maths skills
are holding you back, we can help you reach your goals.
Functional Skills English and Maths courses can be studied as a stand alone
qualification or as a stepping stone to GCSE. These courses give you practical
skills for the modern world and help you get the most from life, learning
and work.
Harrison completed Functional Skills Maths Level 2
and will start his PGCE in September 2019.

generations, especially if they don’t like maths or science”
ESOL courses help you to improve your speaking, listening,
reading and writing. Whether you’re new to the English language or would
just like to improve your existing skills, studying ESOL would be the perfect

Said Edris completed the ESOL Entry 3 and is
progressing to an Access to HE course.
Said was a GP in his country and is looking to retrain
to be able to practice in the UK.
