We will cover both initial steps for beginners to more in depth understanding for those with some previous experience. This includes using a tonal palette and colour mixing, paint handling and material selection. Whilst working from both still life subjects and images, we will reference a range of artists’ work focussing in on the variety of approaches, ideas and techniques used. Each term will help to progress your knowledge and experience of using watercolour, and introduce you to other water-based techniques such as line and wash using ink.
