LETTER FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER

Goodbye Summer ! The team & I are very excited to exit the hot & rainy days and move into some cooler & drier weather patterns ! My second complete fiscal year is now behind me , and what a year it has been . Despite the challenges we were faced , our EBITDA budget goal for the year was achieved . In addition to this achievement , we were able to complete roughly $ 45K worth of Capital Improvements throughout the facility last year . We upgraded the artwork around the facility , purchased two new ice machines , added blinds the West Windows in the Ballrooms , and finally have all 3 Community & Golf Course Irrigation Pumps operational . We appreciate all of the support from our members and residents and look forward to continuing to grow our business in the year ahead !

Over the past 6 months , outdoor activities have been thriving . I personally have noticed a considerable increase in people & families enjoying the great outdoors around my house and throughout the Eaglebrooke community . I have heard reports that RV , Camper , Boat , & Bicycle sales are through the roof . I ’ m happy to report that the Golf Industry across the United States is benefiting from the demand of outdoor activities . Total rounds played in the United States through July is up 3 % over the previous year . Considering the fact that roughly 75 % of golf courses were closed for a period of time due to the pandemic ….. this number is staggering . During the months of May , June , and July almost every state in the US has reported an increase in year-over-year rounds of more than 2 %. The golf industry looks to be in pretty good shape as we move into 2021 .

Please note , the Golf Outing season is right around the corner . October is typically one of the busier months for golf outings along with months in the Spring . We have added a section of the bottom of the calendars with some dates / times each month where play may possibly be impacted due to a large group . Please reach out to the Golf Shop if you have questions regarding some of these dates or would like for us to book a time elsewhere for you & your group .

Back in June , we received confirmation that dual riders in carts is permitted per the “ Back2golf Operations Playbook ”. Beginning on Monday , October 12th our facility will be enforcing dual ridership with facility owned carts . We have a $ 20 upcharge option for players that would still like to ride solo ( based on cart availability ). Players are encouraged to wear a mask & designate a driver , passenger , and scorekeeper for their round of golf . We appreciate your understanding and support in advance .

At the end of October , Guest Passes will be mailed out to all Golf members . A “ guest pass ” will allow you to bring a guest to our facility at a $ 25 cart fee rate . All guests must be accompanied by a member in good standing . These passes will expire at the end of 2021 . Platinum & Gold Members will receive 6 passes , and Silver Members will receive 2 passes .

Traditionally , the members of our facility have been overly gracious to our team around the holidays . Each year , an automated $ 40 charge is placed on the member account to help provide our team with a little something extra for the holiday season . You will see this charge on your November statement . The funds collected from this are divided up to our hourly team members , based on hours worked throughout the year . This is totally optional for our members . If you wish to opt out , please send an email to billing @ eaglebrooke . com before November 20th .
