Happy October , Eaglebrooke Members !
I think many of us can agree — it feels great to have September behind us and to welcome October with open arms . September tends to be our quietest month of the year , and for good reason ! The combination of heavy rain making the course soggy and the relentless humidity can be quite a challenge . But now , as we transition into October , things are looking up in more ways than one .
October marks the beginning of our FY 2025 budget year , and we couldn ’ t be more excited ! Cooler weather is finally rolling in , and with it , a surge in activity . Play is picking up , our member tournaments are starting to ramp up again , golf outings are returning in full swing , and our banquet business is thriving . Of course , we can ' t forget the return of football and hockey to keep us entertained !
Despite the slower pace of September , I ’ m pleased to report that 2024 has been a fantastic year overall . Our revenues increased by over $ 250K compared to last year , even with 1,000 fewer rounds of golf . Membership grew by an impressive 7 %, and we saw growth in both golf and F & B revenues . On the maintenance front , we invested about 13 % more than we did in 2023 , and the results are showing . Several major projects were successfully completed , including new A / C units , window replacements , kitchen equipment upgrades , cart path enhancements , a new pump for the pumphouse , and the exciting addition of a new golf cart fleet and equipment package .
Looking ahead , we ’ re thrilled about the upcoming greens renovation in 2025 — it ’ s going to be a game-changer !
As always , October is a busy month for golf outings here at Eaglebrooke . Please be aware that we ’ ll be hosting several events that may impact your usual golfing schedule . However , depending on the size and start times of these outings , member play might still be available on some of these dates . For more information , feel free to contact the golf shop for details . Below are the scheduled golf outing dates for October :
