L E T T E R F R O M THE MEN ’ S G O L F A SSO C I AT I O N
Last month we announced the MGA Cup Tournament which will become our annual event to close out our yearly season . We are pleased at how well it has been received and all the positive feedback that has been shared . It ’ s quite impressive when members inform us that they have rearranged travel plans , even a cruise so they can participate . Once again , none of the many changes we have made this year could be possible without our membership support , and we thank you .
Our next event , the Same Tee Box Tournament will on September 14th . The sign-up sheet is available in the Pro Shop . We will also be making an announcement about Handicap Index vs Course Handicap as it relates to tournament pairings . Don ’ t forget our usual coffee , donuts , 50 / 50 and drawings too . Hard to believe it ’ s already September .
Following the Same Tee Box Tournament will be the always fun but challenging Monster Bash Tournament on October 26th . Then on December 7th we will conclude our year with the MGA Cup .
If you have friends who are not members of the MGA , encourage them to join now . Many positive things are happening at Eaglebrooke . Once the course enhancements begin , fee structures will be changing so now is the best time to join . Although not an MGA event , many of our members are participating in the Matt McDonald Battle of the Brooke Invitational . This event which takes place the same weekend as the President ’ s Cup has been an annual event for many years . The teams have been selected by Captain ’ s Schwartz and Wright along with Co-Captain ’ s Davis and Siddle . We anticipate a hard fought and intense competition between these two teams . Wishing all the players the best of luck . Best regards ,
