Hello Eaglebrooke Members ,
Hurricane season didn ’ t end quietly here in Central Florida . Hurricane Milton brought nearly 10 inches of rain and wind gusts approaching 100 mph . Fortunately , Eaglebrooke sustained minimal damage and flooding compared to some of our neighboring communities . The maintenance staff and I would like to extend our deepest appreciation to our members , residents , golf staff , clubhouse staff , and upper management for their tremendous efforts in the cleanup process . We truly couldn ’ t have done it without your help . It ’ s amazing how communities come together in times of need — thank you !
Now that the cleanup is complete , the maintenance department is shifting its focus to improving the golf course as we prepare for the busy season ahead . Throughout November , we ’ ll be working on bunkers , cart paths , weed control , and landscape beds . These are the details that elevate a golf community from average to exceptional .
Our new hires are settling in well and have already started contributing alongside our current staff . We are focusing on the finer details , ensuring tasks are done the right way , not just “ good enough .” With training , experience , and a commitment to high standards , I ’ m confident we ’ ll achieve our goals .
As we head into winter , we ’ re also preparing the greens to ensure they perform well during the colder months . With shorter days and less sunlight , we ’ ll closely monitor irrigation and fertilizer to prevent disease outbreaks , which could negatively impact our Jonesdwarf greens . Growth will slow , and green speeds will increase as temperatures drop . My goal is to push the greens to perform at their best as we approach our upcoming renovation . Considering the greens have been in great shape for 28 years , we ’ re excited to keep them performing at a high level !
