We have some exciting marquee events to look forward to this month . First up is the EWGA Invitational on Wednesday , March 5th . This year ’ s theme is Senoritas & Margaritas , and we are thrilled to welcome ladies from clubs throughout Central Florida for this fun and festive event .
Right around the corner is the Club Championship , where we will host Men ’ s and Women ’ s divisions to crown this year ’ s best in the Championship , Senior , Super Senior , and Legacy flights . This two-day , 36-hole stroke play event , featuring both Gross and Net scoring , will take place on March 15th and 16th . The sign-up sheet is now available in the Golf Shop , so be sure to secure your spot .
We are also gearing up for the Men ’ s Invitational , scheduled for April 4th , 5th , and 6th . This popular event filled up fast , with 72 teams signing up within hours of opening registration . We wish all our participants the best of luck and look forward to an exciting competition .
The new hitting mat on the range tee has been completed , providing a fantastic enhancement to our practice area . To start , all golfers will use the hitting mats on Mondays and Tuesdays as part of a weekly rotation . We will continue to assess and make adjustments as needed to improve the overall practice experience .
Looking ahead , the golf course closure and renovation project is set to begin on Monday , April 7th . In preparation , we will start spraying out the grass on the greens and collars , with the first chemical application scheduled for March 17th . You will notice off-color conditions from that point through April 6th .
