LETTER FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
Greetings Eaglebrooke ,
I would like to start off the March Newsletter by congratulating Steve Johnson for earning the Eaglebrooke Employee of the Quarter . Steve has been a valued team member at our facility since September of 2022 . He shows up each day with a great attitude and is always willing to do more ! Steve – Thank you for all you do to make Eaglebrooke a great place !
Once again , we had another challenging month of weather in February . This follows a poor January which saw a 9.4 % reduction in the Tampa Market for Golf Playable Hours versus January 2023 . We made the decision to move Championship Weekend from February 17th & 18th to April 27th & 28th . This ended up being a good decision due to roughly 2 ” of precipitation on the originally scheduled date . A new sign-up sheet will be available in the Golf Shop in the coming weeks .
We took advantage of a slow weekend in February with a fun team building bowling day ! Wesley ( Superintendent ) had most of the highlights edging Rick ( Head Professional ) in each of the games we played . The rest of the competitors ( Myself , Brandy , Deb , & Maddie ) should stick with golf !
Congratulations to Hank & Patti Bolding for winning the $ 1,000 Pot of Gold Drawing on January 31st . As a friendly reminder , all members are eligible to win the drawing every Wednesday evening . The catch – you must be here to WIN !
The Member-Guest Tournament is scheduled for Friday , May 3rd – Sunday , May 5th . Event Invitations / Entry Forms will be mailed out in early March to all eligible members ( Gold & Platinum Members ). Guests will be required to have an established USGA handicap at time of tournament registration . Be on the lookout for more information as we get closer to the event .
