FROM THE MEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION
MEN’S
Golf Assosiation
May was another month where we’ve had to maintain social
distancing, but now the economy is slowly opening back up more
as we move into June versus the tighter requirements of late March
through mid-May. We are all trying to figure out how to proceed
appropriately, writing the playbook as we go along, while keeping
members health as the number 1 priority.
The MGA will be working with the club to revise the tournament
schedule as necessary, with the goal being to get as much competition
in during the remainder of the year given the limitations we all must
accept as we work our way through the COVID-19 crisis. As changes
are made, we will communicate them to you as quickly as they are
finalized.
There are a number of things we can all continue to do to help get
through the crisis:
• Make sure to follow the social distancing guidelines in place, since
the health of all of us depends upon it.
• Fill up those personal cart divot mix bottles and buckets and fill as
many divots on the course as you can while public cart restrictions
remain in place....and taking care of a few ball marks on the green
will help all of our putts roll smooth and true.
• Continue to support the club as much as possible to help it get
through the crisis in a good financial position.
• Be supportive of your fellow members, since many have been
adversely impacted by the crisis.
Working together, we can start the post Memorial Day “summer”
season on a high note as we slowly return to normal activities.
