LETTER FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER
I would like to begin this newsletter by admiring the Eaglebrooke team. As we get deeper in the “new normal” lifestyle,
our team continues to make the proper adjustments to keep our business moving in the right direction. As many of you
are aware, we had a really tough couple of months when the COVID-19 pandemic began back in March. For our facility
in particular, March & April are really bad months for business & revenues to crash. The tough operational decisions that
we have made have proven to have been good adjustments. The golf course remains in great shape, we are increasing our
membership and the financial results are forecasting to be pretty good as we near the end of our fiscal year.
It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing our decision to cancel the 2020 Member-Guest Tournament. Our original
May date had been postponed to a later date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Due to the rising number of COVID-19
cases in our area and across the U.S., we are not confident that the feature event can be safely executed. Please stay tuned
for the 2021 dates to be released.
I would like to remind our golfers to keep safety on your mind when you are playing during the Summer months. Thus
far, our Summer has been brutally hot. We have seen indexes in triple digits on multiple occasions. Please ensure you and
your playing partners are staying hydrated while you are playing golf. Please monitor and report any person(s) that may be
struggling due to heat exhaustion. It can be very dangerous and even deadly. In addition to the heat, please ensure that you
are coming off the golf course if you see lightning or hear thunder.
In addition to golfer safety, we would like to also remind our patrons about some COVID-19 safety. Our #1 goal is to keep
our team, members, guests, community and business protected during this tough time. Please respect others by staying
home if you have been exposed or are showing any symptoms of COVID-19. For more information on COVID -19, please
visit the Center of Disease control website (www.cdc.gov).
Have a great August!
