A standout victory for the team was a victory last week . The Eaglets were victorious against Manchester 6-4 . The Eagles were the first to get on the board in the second when Carter Whitten singled , scoring two runs . They added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Jeremy Walsh tripled , and Brian Thompson singled , each scoring one run .
In the bottom of the sixth inning , Enfield Junior Varsity Eagles went back into the lead after Whitten stole home , and Connor Pearl walked , each scoring one run .
Joshua Lajoie started the game for Enfield . He surrendered three hits and four runs ( three earned ) over four innings , striking out five and walk two .
Thompson and Whitten each threw scoreless innings for Enfield in relief .
Pearl led them with three hits in three at bats . Whitten also went 1-3 with two RBIs . Thompson also went 2-4 .
