TEARDROP : Teardrops and popups are the smallest and lightest trailers , so they also tend to offer the fewest amenities . Some teardrops ( like the one we towed with our Jeep ) are basically just a bed on wheels , while others have a small kitchen and bathroom .
POPUP CAMPER : Popups are a type of travel trailer that ’ s collapsible , lightweight , and easy to pull with nearly any tow vehicle . They aren ’ t fully hard-sided , which cuts down on both weight and height . They ’ re a bit more work to set up than a typical trailer , but are a great starter rig since you can tow them with just about anything .
TRUCK CAMPER : Not technically a towable , since truck campers sit in the truck bed . Think of a trailer without wheels that sits in the bed of a truck , and you ’ ve got the idea . Truck campers range from minimal to pretty fancy ; some even have multiple slide-outs for extra space .
