Îlot M9D4: an inventive
script that complements
the urban context
The Ilot M9D4 is a 55-apartment building forming part of an area that is
undergoing a complete renaissance in the 13th arrondissement of Paris,
located between rue Léo Frankel and rue Chevaleret. For this project, which
was completed in the spring of 2013, architect Anne Démians has tested the
boundary between public and private space and produced an appropriate
response in the form of an elegant veil of stretched metal covering all the
elevations. The solution selected for the access areas to the patios has been
to use sliding systems from Technal’s LUMEAL range.
