Open to residents and students of schools serving Laguna Niguel,
artists are encouraged to develop a visual piece inspired by the
word "Optimism." All artwork must be family-friendly content and
suitable for display in the City Hall lobby. The deadline for
submissions is Friday, March 9 by 4 p.m. An entry form is
required. For more information, including size limits and contest

February's "Word of the Month" Art C ontest Winners
Congratulations to the winners of February's Word of the Month art contest! These talented
winners - Diane Noss, Lisa Fu, and Brooke Rifkin - were selected by visitors to City Hall and
recognized by the City Council this past Tuesday evening for their excellent art inspired by
the word, "Leadership."

C ity Takes First Step Toward Installation of Electric C ar C harging Stations
The Laguna Niguel City Council has taken the first step to expand eco-
friendly practices by approving submission of a grant application that
would pay for the installation of electric vehicle charging stations at the
Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo Metrolink Station, City Hall, and other
proposed locations. The City is excited to make this technology available
to the community while reducing its carbon footprint and improving air
quality!
