Movers & Shakers Qualcomm Inducts Ann M. Livermore To Board Of Directors Juergen Hase appointed CEO of IoT unit of Reliance ADA Group Qualcomm Monday announced the appointment of Ann M. Livermore to its Board of Directors. With her nearly 30 years at Hewlett-Packard Company (HP), Livermore brings extensive experience in senior leadership positions, and broad knowledge and experience in the areas of technology, business management, marketing, sales, and research and development. Livermore has been a director of United Parcel Services, Inc. since November 1997, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise(HPE) since November 2015. She served as Executive Vice President of the Enterprise Business at Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) from May 2004 to June 2011, and as Executive Vice President of HP Services from 2002 to May 2004. She joined HP in 1982 and served in a number of management and leadership positions across the company. Juergen Hase has been appointed as the CEO of Unlimit, IoT business unit of Reliance ADA Group. Unlimit is the new venture of Reliance ADA Group solely dedicated to provide Internet of Things (IoT) services to enterprise customers throughout India. Juergen has been working in IoT and M2M space for the last ten years. Before joining Reliance, he was with Ooredoo Group where he was focusing on IoT. For four years he was board member in M2M Alliance. Juergen has also worked with Deutsche Telekom where he was vice president at M2M Competence Centre. With Unlimit, Reliance becomes the first telecommunications service provider in India to set up a dedicated and integrated IoT business unit committed to helping corporate customers achieve their goals. LeEco appoints Anthony Gao as APAC President Airtel appoints Vani Venkatesh as CEO - Retail LeEco has appointed Anthony Gao (Gao Jun) as President of LeEco APAC and CEO of LeEco Hong Kong. Responsible for operational management and meeting various business targets, Gao will report directly to YT Jia, Founder & CEO of LeEco Global. Gao has extensive experience in the technology industry. Before joining LeEco, Gao spent 17 years in Huawei in various senior executive positions, including CEO of Huawei Device in China, President of Global Sales and Technical Service and President of Global Strategy and Marketing Department. Gao currently heads LeEco’s VR and AR company as well as MFL (Made for LeEco), LeEco’s initiative for open smart hardware ecosystem. Bharti Airtel has announced the appointment of Vani Venkatesh as CEO – Retail. In her new role, Vani will be responsible for driving Airtel’s retail strategy to deliver a seamless and worldclass customer experience across retail touch points. Vani brings with her over 19 years of work experience. In her last role, she was responsible for the medical nutrition business at Abbott Healthcare (India). Prior to Abbott Healthcare, she worked with McKinsey & Company, where she led projects across industries, helping her clients to plan and implement successful retail strategies. She began her career with Hindustan Unilever in the Finance division. Vani is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore. She is also a qualified CA, Cost and Works Accountant and Company Secretary. CA Technologies Names Kieran J. McGrath as CFO Juniper Networks Appoints Dinesh Verma as MD - India & SAARC CA Technologies has announced that Kieran J. McGrath has been appointed executive vice president and chief financial officer, effectively immediately. McGrath, who most recently served as interim CFO, will report to Chief Executive Officer Mike Gregoire. McGrath, 57, joined CA Technologies in 2014 as corporate controller and served in that role until being named interimCFO in July 2016. Prior to that, McGrath spent more than 30 years at IBM, where he honed his financial, operational and transformational management experience, ultimately overseeing the finance team for the company’s $25 billion global software business. During that time, IBM software became a growth business for IBM as they shifted into higher-value market segments including cloud computing, security and business analytics software. McGrath received his bachelor of science in accounting from St. John’s University. Juniper Networks has announced that Dinesh Verma has been appointed to the role of Managing Director, India & SAARC effective immediately. With responsibility over all Go-toMarket (GTM) operations in region, Dinesh will be tasked with driving consistent high-impact growth for Juniper across India & SAARC – a top business priority within Juniper’s overall APAC strategy. His experience over three decades in leading key operations for top telecom and IT companies will be crucial in continuing Juniper’s seven consecutive quarters of growth in APAC.
