GENERAL INFORMATION
The
Wairoa
Airport
has
pilotactivated
lighting( PAL) and is used
on a daily basis by emergency
services,
helicopters
and
small
planes.
CCTV Your aircraft will be well cared for as our CCTV cameras are operating around the clock and are directly linked to the local police station.
RUNWAY The Wairoa Airport currently has 925m of sealed runway which might be extended to 1,375m to make it mor accessible for bigger aircrafts.
LANDING AREA
• All grass outside runway is closed
• Grass portion of RWY 16 / 34 is unusable when wet
• Night operations restricted to aircraft below 5700kg on sealed RWY only.
• Shallow open drain 60m east of sealed runway.
LIGHTING PAL 119.1 Non-Standard Operation. Transmit 5 pulses each 3 seconds with 0.5 to 1 sec pulses. Wait 25 seconds before repeating.
Lighting on runway:
• White runway edge lights
• Green-Red threshold end lights
• Blue taxiway edge lights.
FUEL ON SITE Z Energy JET A1 fuel is available on site. Access via Z card.
