GENERAL INFORMATION
The
Wairoa
Airport
has
pilotactivated
lighting ( PAL ) and is used
on a daily basis by emergency
services ,
helicopters
and
small
planes .
CCTV Your aircraft will be well cared for as our CCTV cameras are operating around the clock and are directly linked to the local police station .
RUNWAY The Wairoa Airport currently has 925m of sealed runway which might be extended to 1,375m to make it mor accessible for bigger aircrafts .
LANDING AREA
• All grass outside runway is closed
• Grass portion of RWY 16 / 34 is unusable when wet
• Night operations restricted to aircraft below 5700kg on sealed RWY only .
• Shallow open drain 60m east of sealed runway .
LIGHTING PAL 119.1 Non-Standard Operation . Transmit 5 pulses each 3 seconds with 0.5 to 1 sec pulses . Wait 25 seconds before repeating .
Lighting on runway :
• White runway edge lights
• Green-Red threshold end lights
• Blue taxiway edge lights .
FUEL ON SITE Z Energy JET A1 fuel is available on site . Access via Z card .
