Lebkuchen (Gingerbread Cookies)
A true German Christmas favourite. These are a version of gingerbread cookies and they are
sometimes covered with a dark chocolate coating, nuts or powered sugar.
You can buy boxes of them at the Christmas markets and usually one or two of the stalls will
sell them with “spicy” sayings iced on the tops of the cookies.
