The unit “ eHealth , Well-Being and Ageing ” at the Directorate-General for Communications Networks , Content and Technology ( DG CONNECT ) of the European Commission fosters innovative digital health technologies , services and products that contribute to high quality health and care , including personalised medicine , as well as citizen empowerment in managing their own health .
It coordinates activities in digital policy , research and innovation , and deployment support in health , wellbeing and demographic change , cutting across a large variety of stakeholders such as organisations and public sector delivering health and care services , researchers responding to real needs of users , as well as relevant market players in Europe .
