Chris is an innovative thinker and entrepreneur , with broad-based expertise in information security – InfoSec ( incl . cybersecurity ), data privacy , risk management , RegTech , and FinTech . He holds a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from the Cyprus Higher Technical Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering ( specializing in Computer Engineering ) from the Budapest University of Technology and Economics . He is a member of various bodies and organisations , and he is also the President of the Cyprus Association of Information Protection and Privacy ( CAIPP ) as of April 2022 . Moreover , Chris has been elected as a member of the National Reflective Committee CYS / MC 8.06 for Information Security , Cybersecurity and Data Protection of Cyprus Organisation for Standardisation ( CYS ), as of 2020 . Chris ’ s career has centered on the provision of innovative information technology services and solutions for various industries holding senior management positions in a number of firms . He has proven track record both as a manager as well as an entrepreneur , underpinned by his business acumen and his capacity to inspire . Chris is also experienced in implementing and auditing various management system standards such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework , SWIFT Customer Security Controls Framework ( CSCF ), ISO 22301 , ISO 27001 , ISO 27701 etc . He founded geevo ®, with the vision of becoming one of the leading firms in the region .
" Shifting from Cyber Security to Cyber Resilience "
“ Nowhere is resilience on better display than in nature . Trees are designed to bend but not break under the weight of snow or high winds . Nature is inherently designed for resilience - and we believe it ’ s time for us to take a similar approach to security . This requires a move from a posture of Cybersecurity to one of Cyber Resilience .” This was Mr . Papadopoulos main argument while presenting at e-CYberHealth 2022 . e-CYberHealth 2022 , brought together experts , policymakers and industry participants to discuss cyber security in a dynamically evolving environment . During his presentation Mr . Papadopoulos , stated that Covid- 19 crisis has highlighted the necessity of making investments in digital health technology in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of surgical procedures . Moreover , he defined that Cyber resilience is an organization ' s capacity to consistently execute contracted services , operations , and results in the face of cyber incidents . Also Mr . Papadopoulos presented to the participants the differences between cybersecurity from cyber resilience and focused on the importance of Cyber Resilience . To identify better solutions and share best practices among Member States , Mr . Papadopoulos stated that the European Union is pushing a " European eHealth Area " while organizing various efforts and facilitating synergies between related policies and stakeholders . During the last part of the presentation , Mr . Papadopoulos commented on Cyber Resilience in Cyprus and the eHealth Challenge , indicating that general cross-border eHealth services are being implemented in Cyprus , including : a ) patient summaries ; and b ) ePrescription / eDispencing ( part of eHealth ). As a conclusion Mr . Papadopoulos stated that in order to sustain sectoral development and , eventually , its antifragility , the adoption of the newest technologies and their applications in the health and care ecosystem must be managed properly from the perspectives of cyber security and resilience .
