People leave their homeland for a new environment for various reasons . Especially in the last years a lot of immigrants came to Europe , through the so-called people refugee wave . This had its climax in 2015 , but also in the years before and until now , the refugee issue is present in the news and steadfast in the political problems of Germany .
Due to the controversial topic , the other reasons why people are coming to Germany from their homeland , such as immigration because of love or a transfer in the occupation , were left behind . Politicians only talk about refugees and how to integrate them . The problems other immigrants have with integration and settling in are forgotten . During this work , one of these topics will be considered .
The aim is to illustrate the many facets of migration by using an example . In order to highlight one of the forgotten reasons for migration , this seminar deals with the life of a young man who has immigrated from Switzerland to Germany . The process of immigration from Switzerland to Germany , which is underestimated , is even more evident in this context . For example , by the prejudice that it is easy to immigrate from Switzerland to Germany .
In order to gain information , the personal problems as well as the cultural and historical differences are described in the seminar paper . The person was interviewed , the Swiss consulate and the bfz-Munich were visited and the internet was researched .

The numbers of Vietnamese people living in Germany is growing more and more . It started about 1970 when Germany was still separated in FRG and GDR . The main reason for moving to Germany was to work . At the end of the 20th century , many people decided to come back to Vietnam , but there were people , who decided to stay and live in Germany as well . Those who stayed in Germany normally took their children with them to Germany .
The aim of the present seminar paper is to explain the reasons to come and stay in Germany , to describe what they did there , to show the current situation of Vietnamese people living in Germany and how the Vietnamese culture was introduced in the German society . Besides that , many different words related to the topic “ Immigration “ will be defined and explained .
But there remains one question : How difficult was it for Vietmese children who moved to Germany to integrate themselves in a new society ?
This seminar paper is based on data from several scientific literature which is related with this topic . In order to answer the above mentioned question , a 27 year old Vietnamese woman who came to Germany in 1999 was interviewed about her life before and after moving away from home . In this interview she explains , why it wasn ‘ t very difficult , but also not easy for her to get used to her new everyday life .
