After the number of asylum applications filed in Germany had risen sharply in the mid-1980s , it had declined continuously since the mid-1990s following a change in the “ Grundgesetz ” and the so-called " asylum compromise ". Since 2007 / 2008 , the figures have risen again . Between January and December 2016 , the BAMF ( Federal Office for Migration and Refugees ) counted around 750,000 applications for asylum , more than in previous years . In 2012 , 77,651 refugees had applied for asylum in Germany . The majority of the applicants are under 30 years of age and come from Syria , followed by Iraq , Iran , Nigeria , Turkey and Afghanistan . The largest group are children and young people under the age of 16 , mostly more men than women . One of these young people is Omed Rassuli who came to Germany from Afghanistan in 2012 .
This paper deals with the migration biography of an Afghan refugee . It focuses in particular on his flight , his life at home and integration . The reason for the flight is due to the Afghan civil war . The invasion of Soviet troops in Afghanistan in 1979 , with the intention of essentially forming a satellite state and thus expanding their power , ended the policy of détente and led to a proxy war , which had been provoked by the invasion of the Soviet Union . 10 years later , after the withdrawal of the Soviet Union , a power vacuum was left behind . This turned into a power struggle between different Afghan groups . A group , the Taliban , financially supported by Pakistan and the USA , brought order . These were initially accepted by the population until they seized the capital Kabul and a regime of terror emerged . The consequences can be seen daily in the news . Many are dying or still have to flee .
The aim of this seminar is to give an insight into the flight of an Afghan refugee , his problems and his life .
Abstract from thesis : The story of Nidal Written by : Ulises Unger Obregon , FLG Planegg Hyperlink : Etwinning : https :// twinspace . etwinning . net / 75259 / materials / files
The Syrian minority is growing more and more in Germany . Because the war in Syria has no end , many fugitives have to start a new life from scratch : a new language , culture , ideology and way of living . It is a challenge for both sides : the Syrian population , who has to adapt to a very different way of life to the usual in their country , and the German citizens who have to look for a way to introduce a new ethnicity into their society .
The question is : will it be possible for a Syrian fugitive to achieve a good and secure future in his or her new home ? In order to solve the question , this study is based on data from research that has already been done and is related to the subject . A very important part of the research is the exemplary Alissa Nidal . A Syrian fugitive who has managed to learn the language , receive temporary citizenship and adapt to society by accepting the culture and ideology of a developed and new country for him . Nidal has the dream of being able to work as a professional and with that to achieve a good future .
The aim of this study is to try to demonstrate the difficulties which Syrians struggle with day by day when entering the country , but also to show the good side of the coin . Based on this information we want to create hypotheses on how to solve those problems that prevent a rapid advance of the Syrian minority in German society .
