Assessment drives instruction . Learn how to identify and administer screening , progress monitoring and diagnostic assessments . And most importantly , become skilled at interpreting data .
WORKSHOP OUTCOMES ( HIGHLIGHTS ):
Ÿ Assess �uency rate and determine reasonable expectations using research-based guidelines .
Ÿ Select materials and / or create lessons that address students ' skill levels .
Ÿ Administer screening and progress monitoring assessments .
Ÿ Explain why individual students are or are not at risk in reading based on their performance on the screening assessments .
Ÿ Display progress-monitoring data in graphs that are understandable to students and parents .
Ÿ Administer educational diagnostic assessments using standardized procedures .
Ÿ Write reports that clearly and accurately summarize a student ' s current skills in important component areas of reading and reading comprehension .
Ÿ Write appropriate , speci�c recommendations for instruction and educational programming based on assessment data .
