Found kids cold, possibly wet -- Hypothermia: No matter how the kids got into the current situation, the main goal is to get them warm. There are a variety of ways to do this but the main goal in treating hypothermia should be to correct temperatures slowly and consistently. Always have an extra "goat" specific thermometer around. Take the kid's temperature and see where you stand. Typically, from a medical perspective, an animal whose temperature won't register on the thermometer is a goner. However, I have seen many kids somehow come out of severe hypothermic situations with appropriate care. So be practical, but don’t give up yet! Once you know where you stand, the goal is to get the temperature up to 99-101 F. I personally like to bring kids indoors and wrap up them in towels or blankets that have come right out of a dryer.
