PAKENHAM RACING CLUB
Since its inception in 1875, the Pakenham Racing Club
has been at the forefront of innovation. Not only among
the first to introduce starting stalls and photo finish
technology, but also the very first to race with decimal
currency and one of the first places in Australia to
broadcast in colour - in 1967, a full eight years before the
‘official introduction’.
Take that Aunty Jack!
For 6 months the Pakenham Racing Club have worked
with DVJS to provide track stompers for their grounds.
DVJS clients have maintained the grass to great success
for day and night races, in the rain and in the sweltering
heat. Our clients have worked hard and the Pakenham
Racing Club have ensured the staff are looked after no
matter the conditions.
A notable moment of our partnership was when DVJS
clients worked the day of the prestigious Pakenham
Cup during its inaugural race as an official part of the
Melbourne Spring Racing Carnival. This meant that
DVJS clients worked hard under the gaze of TV cameras
and in the shadow of the Melbourne Cup itself.
The Pakenham Racing Club have proved to be a
fantastic DVJS partner and with such great people
behind the scenes and our clients on track, your trip to
the redeveloped $70m venue is sure to every bit a multi-
million dollar experience
