DuPont™ Corian® is a material which combines the durability of stone with the workability of hardwood. It is impossible to cover all fabrication techniques in this book, but the following sections describe the most important elements. CUTTING DuPont™ Corian® is harder than wood. In order to cut a full sheet to obtain the desired pieces, saws and routers must be powerful enough to work the material properly. Straight cuts are made with a circular saw with carbide-tipped or diamond-tipped teeth.
