A
little pampering goes a long way , which is why one local nonprofit has set out to bring a little extra attention to women undergoing cancer treatment .
The Love You Well Foundation launched its new program with a celebratory ribbon cutting on Feb . 24 , 2023 , at Cancer Centers of Southwest Oklahoma in Duncan .
Executive Director Jan Ledford-Fiorillo said the Love You Well Foundation ’ s intent is to raise money to provide “ a compassionate , self-care program supporting women undergoing cancer treatment facilitated through the Cancer Centers Of Southwest Oklahoma at the Taylor LeNorman / McCasland Cancer Center in Duncan .”
Fiorillo said the program was created by the Southern Oklahoma Ladies Golf Alliance ( SOLGA ) which is a nonprofit organization in Duncan since 2019 .
“ We decided we wanted to use our love of golf to create positive initiatives for women in our community ,” she said . “ The Love You Well Foundation is part of that initiative .”

Southwest Oklahoma Lane Hooton said when this first began about a year ago , they started the conversation about what SOLGA does .
Hooton said he was immediately interested in the program .
“ It ’ s just another indictor of the tremendous support we ’ ve had from the community of Duncan over the last 14 years ,” he said . “ We really appreciate Jan and all of her team ’ s effort for this .”
Fiorillo said through the program , women will receive a “ Love You Well Self-Care Kit ” cosmetic bag with a key chain and a gift certificate
