They opened in August 2019 with a variety of games for community enjoyment of all ages . In March 2020 , the Indian Shack Family Fun Center opened their newest entertainment attraction to Southwest Oklahoma .
After catching word of a popular activity in Northern Oklahoma , business owner Tresa Ingram hoped to bring a little bit of the North to the South for some family fun entertainment through axe throwing .
Ingram hopes the activity will bring in people from surrounding areas as well to enjoy all they have to offer .
As for the axe throwing , every participant will have detailed safety guidelines and is required to sign a waiver before throwing . Those between the ages of 14 and 18 are also required to have a parent accompany them . Coaches are also available to assist with this activity and show patrons how to throw . The cost is $ 15 per person and $ 7.50 for 16 an under , for an hour . The fun center has a little bit of everything — from pool tables to ski ball machines , the old arcade machines to an Xbox room , and then miniature golf and massage chairs . Everything is a quarter to a dollar , although mini golf is $ 3 for adults and a buck for children .

DUNCAN LITTLE THEATRE
Duncan Little Theatre is Duncan ’ s source of high-quality live theatre and performs a unique array of musicals , plays , collections of skits , improv and more multiple times throughout the year .
The ever-changing , diverse theatre troupe performs the bulk of their shows at the Simmons Center and also utilizes Hodgson ’ s Studio of Music and Drama , Marlow Opera House and the Asbury Complex in Comanche as venues for their showings .
DLT has been active for more than 35 years . The group was started by the American Association of University Women , who performed plays in the ‘ 50s and ‘ 60s . A local collection of thespians revamped Duncan Little Theatre in 1981 after a period of inactivity .
HODGSON STUDIO OF MUSIC & DRAMA Hodgson Studio of Music & Drama , located on 814 W . Walnut Ave . in Duncan , offers both musical and dramatic instruction in the theatre arts to area children .
The studio , which opened its doors in 2011 under the direction of owner Veronica Hodgson , has showcased many local performers under their tutelage in varied venues , from their own stage inside the studio to the Simmons Center and beyond .
Hodgson ’ s welcomes students of all ages and skill levels and exhibits those talents in both vocal music performances and live theatre performances , of which they host at least three per season .
The studio often partners with Duncan Little Theatre to encourage and promote the live theatre experience in Stephens County .
THE W . T . FOREMAN PRAIRIE HOUSE
The Foreman Prairie House was built in 1918 by Mr . W . T . Foreman , a banker and pharmacist who was one of Duncan ’ s earliest and most prominent citizens . For decades , the home stood as a proud reminder of Duncan ’ s past .
In the 1980 ’ s , however , the home fell into disrepair . After changing hands several times , the once stately home was put up for public auction in 2004 . It was then a group of community members , led by Mrs . Gail Loafman , came together to restore the home to its former
