STEPHENS COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM
The Stephens County Historical Museum documents local history with artifacts and memorabilia from the early 20th century .
The historical museum , housed in the old National Guard Armory at U . S . 81 and Beech in Fuqua Park , was dedicated in 1971 and moved to this location in 1977 .
Extensive displays of everything from Native American arrowhead collections to fully realized one and two room schoolhouses are on display .
The museum holds a permanent Halliburton exhibit with art , photos and items from the global oil and gas industry early days . The museum also hosts an annual quilt show and is home to county photography dating from 1892 .

CHISHOLM TRAIL HERITAGE CENTER
Located just north of the Simmons Center at 2150 Chisholm Trail Parkway , the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center is not your typical “ stop-and-stare ” museum . It is an interactive adventure for cowboys and cowgirls of all ages .
Awarded Oklahoma ’ s Attraction of the Year three times by the Oklahoma Travel Industry Association , Oklahoma ’ s Arts & Humanities Nonprofit of the Year by the Oklahoma Center for Nonprofits , and as Oklahoma ’ s only nonprofit to hold the prestigious Great Expectations Model School Certification , the Chisholm Trail Heritage Center is the stop in Duncan worth the time to bring friends and family or spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon .
Currently open from 10 a . m . to 5 p . m . Monday through Saturday and 1-5 p . m . Sunday , The Chisholm Trail Heritage Center is supported by membership funds , grants and contributions . Memberships start as low as $ 25 .
Programs through the Heritage Center include Cowpokes and Wranglers , youth art month programs , hosting artists and a variety of other educational activities . Major annual events include National Day of the Cowboy and the Western Spirit Celebration .

CEDAR COVE STUDIO ARTS Cedar Cove Studio Arts , located on the corner of 10th Street and Cedar Ave . in Duncan , is an arts destination in a location with a long history .
The building , which was formerly a grocery store , bakery and the beloved Cedar Street Grill , now houses art classes and gallery space , all hosted by owner , Jennifer Steil .
Cedar Cove offers a wide range of artistic learning opportunities and experiences and offers classes for children , teens and adults .
Everything from pottery to painting to weaving is offered here , and the venue often hosts classes from both local artists and those sprinkled across the state . The studio also makes its space available for events and hosts book signings , gallery shows , musicians and more .

Think Ability , Inc ., located in Duncan , is part of the Vocational Rehabilitation Services Industry . With over 130 employees for the organization started in 1982 , Think Ability ’ s Garden , located on Beech , and The new Gardens Market , located on Main Street , bring a flavorful variety to the Stephens County community .
