Refreshments
No Carnival would be complete without a burger or two, and Gérard Varin ensures
our Hog roast and BBQ are a roaring success. Setting the pig in motion in the early
hours for your enjoyment, and run by volunteers throughout the day. All profits
are split directly between Duffield Carnival and the Round Table; so every burger
you eat directly benefits the village. We’d like to thank Andrew Coates for his
very kind donation of the pig yet again, plus supplying his famous sausages and
burgers.
The Cumberhills Women’s Institute (W I) will again be providing tea, coffee and
their superb cakes in the small marquee. There will also be Cafe2U, Bluebell
Dairy and Duffield Balti for snacks throughout the afternoon. Later in the day
there will be Biddulph’s Wood Fired Pizza Oven, plus great offerings from Miss
Piggy and the Viceroy too. No carnival would be complete without an ice-cream
van, don’t worry Karen Newby’s will be there.
In the main marquee, sponsored by DBS (Duffield Building Services Ltd), The
Cricket Club are again manning our licensed bar, with the proceeds being split
between Duffield Carnival and Duffield Cricket Club so it’s worth having that extra pint!
Hopefully, see you there.
