YOUTH APPRENTICESHIP ( YA )

Wisconsin ’ s Youth Apprenticeship program is part of a statewide school-to-work initiative . It is designed for high school students who want hands-on learning in an occupational area at a worksite along with technical instruction .
The technical instruction can be offered through high school or college courses . The program is managed by different consortiums , or organizations , and its availability differs by school district . If you think you might be interested in a Youth Apprenticeship option , contact your school counselor to see what is available .
