Mr. Claude Beelman was a prolific Los Angeles archi-
tect who was equally talented in creating Beaux-Arts, Art
Deco and Streamline Moderne buildings. When next at
his namesake pub, toast the man who gave us the Roos-
evelt Building, the Eastern Columbia and the Standard Oil
Bldg. (currently The Standard Hotel) among many others.
