“We are opening Redline on a street that is thriving with traditional nightlife. We did this intentionally, because we want to be part of the rich culture of this already existing area as opposed to an obscure block or area all it’s own. Our neighborhood already features a number of exciting restaurants, unique bars, and live entertainment that draw a large LGBT crowd, but currently there is nowhere for this group to start or end their night. For some, this reduces the draw to visit in the first place, and for others, this results in traveling across the city partway through the night to end up at their favorite gay bar. Why separate these vibrant aspects of the city though?” says Oliver Alpuche and Zachary Beus presenting REDLINE, the premier gay bar and lounge in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. Located in the Historic Core, DTLA’S PREMIER BAR & LOUNGE is set to bring back a sense of community to the downtown LGBT nightlife. “When people move to our neighborhood, we don’t want them to have to think about ‘where the gays live,’ and they shouldn’t have to. Likewise, when people are making plans, they shouldn’t have to worry if there is a bar they will feel comfortable or at home in. In our neighborhood there are plenty of options for people to go out, but there isn’t an option with a neighborhood bar feeling where the LGBT community can truly feel at home.” Well soon this question will not be asked anymore with the opening of REDLINE. Redline will provide the downtown Los Angeles (DTLA) and surrounding Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) communities an exciting and enjoyable experience focused on delicious high-quality/low-fuss eats all designed to complement and enhance a variety of handcrafted domestic beers, fresh cocktails, and local wines. In doing so, Redline will provide daily happy hours that cater to the large and growing professional population working in downtown. These events will transition into themed nights aimed at attracting even larger crowds consisting of a mix of local residents, tourists and professionals. Although Redline will be known as a “gay” bar, our mission is to be all-inclusive where everyone is welcome. REDLINE DTLA 131 East Sixt Street Los Angeles, CA 90014 www.redlinedtla.com
