strike on St Patrick’s
Day 1912. Oil and
gas are still large
employers in our
community, but they
have been joined by
technical training,
health care, and
education as our
largest employers.
We are very proud of our schools, large and

parks, activities and world-class dining.  We also
have a winery located in a historic building that
once served as a school for refinery workers.
