DRUMRIGHT LIFESTYLE
Drumright Hosts Many Custom Murals.
Artist Gwen Ingram paid tribute to Drumright’s Way Park, where townspeople used to gather for shows
on the lawn. Ingram’s Way Park mural depicts young dancers from New York who came to Drumright for a
new start, performing on stage during a relaxing night on the grass. Ingram’s mural captures the essence
of community formed while watching live shows and entertainment together.

Drumright is a town full of murals, each telling a part of the town's past. From Native Americans to the roaring 1920's.
Depression era picnics, to the time when oil put Drumright on the map. The first mural was painted in Drumright back
in 1941 and over the years, the city just kept adding more.
Artist Darren Maine painted a mural of Drumright in the 1920s. This historic “Drumright Street Scene of 1920” mural
shows how thriving downtown Drumright appeared when it had a population of 18,000, thanks to the booming oil
industry.
Volok's first mural - a rolling field dotted with oil wells and a lake as big as Oklahoma sunshine.
A brick wall facing the opposite direction holds Volok's second mural, an art deco butterfly that he just finished this
month after four months and 250 hours of work.
