MDMA
MDMA is short for "MethyleneDioxyMethAmphetamine" it is classed as a psychedelic amphetamine. To understand this better we need to know what each concept means/ does;
Amphetamines → Make you feel more awake and alert
Psychedelics → Alters your perception visually, emotionally and psychologically
What different types of mdma exist?
The scientific name for the drug is MDMA but since it is illegal to purchase, it has gained street names such as "Molly" or "Ecstasy"
How can i know what is in my pill?
It is impossible to know what is in your pill just by looking at it or smelling it. So what can you do to know what is in your pill?
There are kits that can be purchased at certain places or even on the internet which cost approximately 30€.
The problem with this is they can range from pure MDMA to being cut with another drug or containing no MDMA at all
But if you do not have the money to buy one you can send it to a lab (depending on where you live) where they will be able to tell you exactly what chemicals it contains and if it is spiked with another drug they can throw away the drug safely.
Is ecstasy dangerous though?
Some people say that pure MDMA is one of the safest Drugs out there, but is this really true? First of all MDMA like other drugs has side effects, these effects are similar to cocaine and amphetamines, most common are increased heart rate and blood pressure, involuntary teeth clenching, nausea, blurred vision and many others. So I wouldn't class it as fully safe but if your pill has been cut with something else you could experience worse side effects than the ones mentioned.
