Major Research Grant
(i)

Successfully completed a major research project titled “Fabrication of
computerized microwave bench for dielectric studies” funded by University
Grants Commission during September 1998 – June 2002. The cost of the
project is Rs.5,30,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs and Thirty Thousand only).

(ii)

During my Office, Periyar University, I have obtained funding from Govt. of
Tamil Nadu to set up a Center for Nano Science and Technology with a
financial grant to the tune of 1 Crore.

Minor Research Grant
Successfully completed Five minor research projects funded by UGC.

ISPA Dr. S. Gunasekaran Award
During the National Conference on Recent Advances in Physics, NCRAP 2008, an
Award, ISPA Dr. S. Gunasekaran Award has been instituted by The Patron of
ISPA Dr. S. Mohan, Vice Chancellor, PRIST University, Thanjavur and the
ISPA members. This is has been awarded for 15 active researchers for their
sustained Research work till date.
