Dunedoo and District Historical memorabilia located in the Old Westpac
Building. Dunedoo is located on Wiradjuri Country and their artefacts are
are scattered throughout the landscape. Our museum shares stories about
our early pioneers including William Lawson, the growth of Dunedoo with the
coming of the Railway in 1910, the surrounding villages that were important
staging posts for the Cobb and Co Coaches, the geological landforms that
have made Dunedoo a rich wheat and sheep farming area, our Military
personnel including Sir Ivan Dougherty, Bushrangers - Sam Poo and Jimmy
Governor, Sporting Legends – Hugh Bowman and footballer Brian Johnston.
